You are invited to learn the art of Belly Dancing!
Belly Dancing is a form of exercise with graceful dance moves and beautiful feminine creativity based on the folkloric and performance dance styles of the Middle East. It’s a great way to get fit, flexible, confident and work every muscle in your body while having fun!
Delve into the fascinating world of belly dance! Belly dancing is not only a great female fitness program, but also balancing for mind and soul and really fun!
In this upcoming 2.5 hour workshop you learn the most basic movements as well as first dance routines. We will then put it all together into a short mysterious veil dance. So what are you waiting for: Move your hips!
This introductory workshop is suitable especially for beginners who want to learn and try out belly dance. But even women with previous knowledge who want to work hard at their foundations are in good hands here.
Dallia will explain the basic movements of bellydance: twist, slides, and the seasaw. These are practiced standing and then combined into moves most commonly used in bellydance. An appropriate warm-up and cool down completes the workshop.
You will have fun with the basics of this most feminine dance.
What to wear: Please wear comfortable fitting clothes such as gym wear so that your movements can be easily seen and a scarf for the hips (hip scarfs can be borrowed). For your feet, you can either dance barefoot, in socks, or flat dance shoes,
Where to park: there is plenty of street parking around our building and the near-by streets. It is free after 6pm
