Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to bring a partner?

You don't have to bring a partner as everyone is moved around during the class. This means everyone will get to dance with a partner at some point.

I am coming with a partner / friend. Can we dance together?

Yes. Whether you stay together or move around the class is entirely up to you.

What do I wear?

Comfortable shoes and dress is recommended, whatever you can move freely in. Avoid backless sandals or jandals as they tend to slip off as you dance. It's also recommended that you avoid wearing trainers or boots with grip, as you'll stick to the floor. Wear something with a smooth sole. Viva Latino has a range of dance shoes and boots available for order.

When can I start?

You can join the beginner or casual classes at any time. We teach new routines for each beginners class. Advanced and performance courses have 8-10 weekly start dates. See our calendar for class timetables.

How many people in each class?

Numbers will vary depending on the night. Normally there will be approximately 10 to 15 people in the evening classes.

How much does it cost?

See our class prices page for information on class prices and payment details.
