Hip Hop is one of the most popular styles right now. If you like the groove, this class is for you. We'll teach you the latest moves and give you an introduction to what Hip Hop is about.

Join our 8 week Hip Hop beginner course strating on 17th of March.

The course will cover 4 different Hip Hop styles: Street Dance, Locking, Popping and Break Dance. You’ll learn the basic techniques and 2 different routines for each of them over 2 weeks. Every second week a guest Hip Hop professional will do a demonstration of the style you’ve just learned.

It is a great opportunity to learn the main basics for Hip Hop gradually increasing the complexity over the 8 weeks period.

The course is taught by Lauren Dunningham (see her full profile here), who has been teaching Hip Hop professionally for 7 years. She competed in the World Hip Hop Championships and is currently a member of one of the most popular Hip Hop groups in Auckland “Triple 8 Funk”

We plan to start an intermediate Hip Hop course after the beginners course so if you want to continue improving your Hip Hop skills there will be opportunities for that.
