Zouk is a modern form of the traditional Brazilian ‘forbidden dance’. It is considered one of the most beautiful, sexy and smooth Latin dance styles. Whether slow and sensual, or hip and groovy, Zouk is infectious and is claiming a spot on our dance floors.

If you'd like to learn or improve your zouk, in our structured courses Dharsh and Dunya will teach you the fundamental technique and moves so you too can have fun during a zouk song, or three.

Dharsh fell in love with zouk 2 years ago and has since learnt at the Jaime Aroxa School of Dance in Rio, choreographed and performed his Zouk routine at NZ Salsa Pacific Congress 2011, and was invited to perform at Brazil Central in 2011. His biggest influences have been Kadu and Larissa, Alex de Carvalho and Daniela Wergles and Lidio and Monique.

As we rotate boys and girls during class there is no need to come along with someone. But if you do, more the merrier!.
